Have received a Wildgame Innovations W3X Trail Camera as a gift, and need a bit of info on it as to where what and how to use it. 72 years old, and this is new to me. I have a feeder out on my land, and hopefully looking forward to some venison this year. Any help would be appreciated. Welcome to the forum, first start by setting the cam up about 4ft high about 20-25ft from your feeder is a good distance.
You will probably need 2 sd cards one for in the cam, and one to swap when you check the cam, i use sandisk sd cards in all my cams, use mainly the standard 2gb card. That's pretty much the basics.
Mon Aug 29, 2011 8:29 pm Welcome WGI! I have 2 of your cameras. The first camera I put out was the S2 model and then a S4 next. I have had great sucess with the S2 for the past 2 years! Ex4 To Mq4 Decompiler Software Update there.
I leave it out in the bush all year long. Paysafecard Codes 2017 on this page. I go back and change batteries and SD cards every weekend or 2.
I use rechargeable batteries in both models. The S2 camera worked really well day or night but seems to be irratic sometimes day or night.
Overall this cheapie camera works well for the $$$ spent. The S4 model w/ video leaves alot to be desired.
It will be a year old this season and is not reliable at all. I've used alkaline and rechargeable batteries and Sandisk 2G SD cards like the S2 uses. This camera decides to work when it decides to, which is a waste of money I spent on it.
I pulled it from the bush and tested it in the house with my bulldog being the test target. Using it in picture and video modes it works flawless! I believe the humidity is the culprit killing this camera. It seems to seal tightly when locked. I returned it to the bush after the in-home test and it took 1 picture and that was when I waved my hand in front of it prior to leaving. Total failure and waste of money. I have changed to different camera makers to find the best for the buck.
