I lost my wallet but got it back with only some money, drivers license and credit card missing. I reported the credit card lost so its been cancelled and a new credit card with a new number isbeing sent to me. My health card was in the wallet but it was still in the wallet when i got it back (i still cancelled it and got a new health card w/new number). SIN was NOT lost, it was safely at home. My question is should i bother reporting it to a credit union if they only have my DL and CC (which is cancelled)? They told me that it's not within their policy to do that unless someone committed fraud with my card. All I could do was get a replacement card with the same SIN #. They did help me a bit by providing me with numbers I could call to notify that my card is lost so that they can closely monitor my activities.
